COVID protocols
We are committed to protecting the health and peace of mind of all participants in Inmas.
- At in-person Inmas events, the host university's COVID protocols must be followed by all participants regarding face coverings and other matters.
- To check current protocols at the hub-hosted training events, including for indoor eating and drinking, please consult the relevant Illinois website and Johns Hopkins website.
- As of October 2021, both hub universities require face coverings in indoor locations for everyone, including vaccinated individuals. Face shields do not satisfy this requirement.
Further:
- We recommend vaccination as a way of protecting both yourself and people around you.
- If you are able to get tested for COVID shortly before participating in the training event, please do so.
- If you test positive, or were exposed to a person with COVID in the previous week, or if you are experiencing symptoms of any kind, please do not come to the training event. Instead, contact us so that we can help you participate online.
Internships
Internships will take place over 8 weeks/2 months in the summer. Some employers offer 10 week internships. The timing is usually flexible, to be negotiated by each intern and their host organization.
Students placed into internships will agree to the Code of Conduct.
Note. Students from outside the network are not eligible to participate in Inmas activities at this time. We recommend you seek career resources at the BIG Math Network, and follow the advice in the BIG Jobs Guide.
