COVID protocols

We are committed to protecting the health and peace of mind of all participants in Inmas.

  • At in-person Inmas events, the host university's COVID protocols (Illinois website and Johns Hopkins website) must be followed by all participants, regarding face coverings and other matters.
  • If you test positive, or were exposed to a person with COVID in the previous week, or if you are experiencing symptoms of any kind, please do not come to the training event. Instead, contact us so that we can help you participate online.

Internships

Internships will take place over 8 weeks/2 months in the summer. Some employers prefer 10-12 week internships, in which case they pay extra for the additional weeks. The timing is usually flexible, to be negotiated by each intern and their host organization.

Students placed into internships will agree to the Code of Conduct.

Students from outside the network are not eligible to participate in Inmas activities at this time. We recommend you seek career resources at the BIG Math Network, and follow the advice in the BIG Jobs Guide.

For companies, government and non-profits

We seek to build internship partnerships based on shared experience and trust. We will take the time to listen and learn about your organization and the challenges you face. We will seek to identify specific projects where Mathematical Sciences expertise can contribute to your success. Intellectual property remains in your hands. And we will cost-share to support the graduate intern who tackles the project.

Our success comes from promoting your success. So let's talk!
